The eucalyptus are an important group of plants in Australia. The range in size from small shrubs to giant karri trees with everything between. They are found in a wide variety of habitats. There are more than 500 species known, so it is impossible for a newcomer to learn more than a few while traveling around the country. The structure of the flowers and fruits as shown here are fairly typical of the entire genus.
